“Why you want to pursue becoming a professional artist?”
Working on my craft as a professional allows me to facilitate the cultivation of community, support others in getting their art/gift into the world, and positively inspire others through content and meaningful connection. My art allows me to give courage to those trying new things, create space for people to express themselves, facilitate opportunities for meeting others, and help others share their art with the world.
“How do you believe you can be involved and serve the Decatur art community and the Decatur community as a whole?”
As a dance teacher I can create fun, engaging, and encouraging opportunities for individuals + groups to learn something new (partner dancing: ballroom, swing, and latin) while building/growing friendships and helping people learn to be more courageous. As a web designer and “digital wizard,” I help creatives, change-makers, and small businesses refine their message, online presence, and how they communicate their gift.

I assist individuals and small businesses with their online and “tech-y” needs.
I started by providing unique, personalized written content for clients and now offer comprehensive online solutions including website design & management, marketing assistance, creating digital systems for their business, and more.
I assist individuals and small businesses in refining their message and amplify their voice in the online world, helping them to better serve their audience.
West Coast Swing Dancer
Swing and couples dancing is one of my favorite passions.
I discovered it about five years ago and fell in love immediately.
I dance, learn, and compete around the country at different local scenes and large events.
My passion for dance has pushed me to create a local scene where dancers, new and experienced, can come together and learn, meet new people, and create memories.
Fort Wayne Westies
A community of West Coast Swing dancers with varied skill levels – ranging from complete beginners to multi-year experience.
The community emphasizes a safe environment to try new things, a space where you are encouraged to be yourself, and provides opportunities for members to step out of their comfort zone to grow as individuals.
The Fort Wayne Westies began in 2017 and remains as the longest standing West Coast Swing community in our area – while promoting community growth beyond “just dancing.”
The Anchor Room
I teach dance at a nearby studio and assist the other team members in various needs including website management, teaching group classes, helping with other logistics, and assisting at an annual event of 400+ dancers.
