Follow the Intuitions

“Follow the intuitions.” That’s what keeps coming up for myself. It may not make sense in the moment, but it doesn’t need to.

The simple act of listening and honoring whatever feels right, feels compelling, feels desirable, makes you curious, makes you excited, seems to beckon you … that’s where progress tends to be.

It shows up in so many different ways.
A brief flash of an idea.
That sudden pit in your stomach.
A flushed feeling of excitement.
Vibrant clarity of the world around you.
Doing nothing but feeling like you’re experiencing everything.
An aha moment.
Envisioning the “what if’s.”
An itching to do something abnormal.

It looks different for each of us. Nobody else needs to understand what compels us nor do we have to justify or explain why we do something WE want to do.

The simple act of acknowledging (which is often -felt-) and then doing what we want to do is important for our own experience, not anyone else’s.

No matter how seemingly insignificant, when we start doing those little (or big) things that our intuition or heart is encouraging us to do (which often times for me, comes as a quiet tug, a flicker of an idea, a subtle skip of my heartbeat) … that’s when we start to experience life.

I am learning that complacency is death. Staying the same, never growing, never challenging ourselves, and doing the same thing over and over again (when we KNOW we can do and be so much more) … that feels like death.

Losing isn’t losing. Not living, not moving, not growing – that is where we lose.

For once, I don’t want to try and justify and explain the lipstick and the hatscarf. I simply intend to listen to the intuitive callings in the present moment, to embrace change, and to get more comfortable acting in the face of fear/resistance.

… also fuzzy hatscarf.

What’s one little thing your intuition is calling at you to do today?

The Call to Solitude

The Call to Solitude

Over the past couple of weeks there has been a call to adventure – inwards towards the heart, full of solitude and introspection.
