Highways vs. Pockets [Solocast 004]

Dec 8, 2022

Today’s episode includes a video for the first time!

In this episode

  • The highway vs. your own private pocket of experience.
  • I get stuck on the highway (social media, noise, too many inputs, stimulation, an emphasis on explaining myself).
  • Get away from the noise and stimulation and embrace the private experiences.
  • I often need to make the “pockets” my baseline, my default.

“… your default needs to be just one of those drivers on that road. Every person has their own pocket of experience. Every person gets to pull off the road to get to their house somewhere along this road. My trap is I stay on the road so often and I don’t allow myself to come off the road and have my own little pocket.
